Do you take my insurance?

Presidio Sport & Medicine is currently in-network with Blue Shield of California, United Healthcare, and Medicare, as well as many subsidiary plans associated with those insurance carriers. 

We are out-of-network with Aetna, Cigna and HealthNet, however we would still be happy to see you as a patient. We can bill claims on your behalf utilizing your out-of-network benefits and in many cases, your in-network and out-of-network costs are comparable.

Please note, we are not contracted with any HMO plans. 

How much does physical therapy cost?

Since each plan’s benefits vary, it is important that clients contact their insurance company prior to starting physical therapy to verify their outpatient physical therapy benefits.  We will do our best to help you understand your benefits.

After each appointment, our billing team will submit claims based on services provided. Insurance companies typically take two to six weeks to process a claim, and sometimes longer. Once a claim is processed based on your insurance plan’s benefits, we will receive an Explanation of Benefits from them. This will show what they paid, if any, and what the patient is responsible for.

For plans with a co-payment, we will collect it upon check-in for each appointment.

For plans with deductibles and/or co-insurances, we will collect it once your insurance company has processed the claim and we know the patient balance.

For those without health insurance or with insurance we are not contracted with, we offer competitive discounted self-pay rates. The rates are $225 for an initial evaluation and $160 for follow-up visits.
