Susan LaPointe, CMT

“As an intuitive person who loves learning anatomy, my massage style is precise and anatomically-focused, while incorporating integrative strokes and techniques that feel luxurious. I am deeply compassionate and love holding space for people of all shapes, sizes, and backgrounds. Massage is a collaboration between myself and the client and begins with being present and listening to a client’s history and experience. After warming up and assessing tissues, I will incorporate limb mobilizations, stretching, and neuromuscular techniques when appropriate. My work is highly customizable and geared towards what is most effective for each client. I love being a supportive member of a client’s team on their unique journey towards a happy and healthier life”

Specialty
I use myofascial, deep tissue, sports massage, trigger point, and neuromuscular techniques wrapped up in beautiful, long Swedish strokes. Sessions with me are highly customizable and, range from relaxing and gentle to more client-engaged assisted stretching. During intake, I am happy to gauge your expectations and come up with a plan that best suits your needs. I particularly love working with strength athletes and the elderly. I have also trained in pre-and post-natal pregnancy massage and ortho-bionomy, and have trained in some Esalen style massage as well as Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques (MAT).
